What started as a face lift turned into to a complete kitchen renovation. There were too many hurdles to conquer and it became clear that a complete renovation was needed. A very narrow kitchen, exposed supporting beam and small windows were the challenges. We designed a kitchen that combines beauty along with functionality, a space were everyone wants to gather.

We chose Mahogany ceiling height cabinets which compliments the Tudor style home nicely. To augment the design I added a faux panel above the existing window, creating an illusion of a taller window without having to replace existing windows. This saved the homeowners an additional expense that was not necessary.

The wall oven & the center island were removed, we added a peninsula style counter in their place, Taking out the corner wall oven expanded the prep and entertaining area significantly. Cabinets by Kitchen & Bath Source When space is limited this configuration maximizes your floor plan.

The fan above the stove works when you pull out the front panel creating a canopy ...you can't even tell its there until you do so.

The home owners fell in love with these elongated glass tiles which compliment the dark cabinets nicely, marrying the traditional cabinetry with the homeowners contemporary style. A must have pot filler!

We moved the oven on the right wall and placed the refrigerator next to it. Installed a solid panel on the side facing the kitchen which is aesthetically pleasing. (see before picture below)

A bar area was added to the far right wall. Above the prep area we added a wine rack which compliments the window panel nicely. the windows were too small once we took out the soffit and added tall cabinets. So I designed this faux window above existing window to create an illusion of a taller window without the expense of a replacement window.

This supporting beam was quite the eye sore, instead of trying to hide it I chose to highlight it using the same wood as the cabinetry.
